What is WorldHub?
WorldHub is a directory of Web Wide Worlds: 3D places that work like websites. Search for worlds people have made, open one in your browser, or list your own at its own address. No download and no account to visit.
How it works
- Browse. Search the directory and open a world where it lives.
- Make. Press one button in Blender and get a link people can walk into together, or build a world with the open tools.
- Visit. Any modern browser, on a phone, a desktop or a headset.
Web Wide Worlds
Web Wide Worlds is an open ecosystem of 3D worlds on the open web. A world is a document (VEML) with its models beside it, rendered by a world browser, synced in real time between the people in it, and hosted like any website. Everything is built on open standards and open source.
The principle is simple: worlds as websites. Enter a world by opening its address. No account, no app store, no permission required, and a world never depends on this directory to exist.
Open source
The format, the browser and the sync are MIT-licensed. Anyone can make worlds, build tools, host their own and take part on equal footing.
